While we've been spending time at the acute care wing of hospital in Kelowna, visiting my grandmother. It's a sad place and we'd been talking about how important it was to make sure Gram's "election was sure". So Darren gave me some time alone to talk with her about that and he wandered about the ward. As he walked by another room an elderly man called to him "Come!" He kept walking, but he called again, "Come here!" We didn't know the man, so Darren kept walking, assuming he was addressing someone else. Then the Holy Spirit told him to go back. So he went to his bedside and asked him what he needed. The man greeted him with incoherent English or another language he didn't recognize. Darren told him he didn't understand what he was saying and they tried to converse a couple other times. Then, Darren asked him if he wanted to be saved. He clearly replied, "Yes." Darren asked him to pray after him and his words were clear and strong. After the prayer, the communication was back to incoherent. God is so amazing! Not to mention the fact that Grandma assures she's made her peace with God and it's only because of Him that she's come this far. A joyous homecoming awaits her in His time and she'll be reunited with my Grandpa. :)

Thank you Jesus. What happened to the man?
ReplyDeleteWe went back the next day and at first we thought he'd gone home to be with the Lord because his bed was empty, but they'd moved him to another area. As far as we know, he's still there, only now he's got something wonderful to look forward to on the other side.
